There are twelve (12) types of membership in TPHCCA. They are:
♥ ACTIVE MEMBERS – owners and/or co-owners who are registered or licensed with the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services or regulated by a military jurisdiction for child care facilities. Each active member will be entitled to one (1) vote.
♥ ASSOCIATE MEMBERS – Associate members are listed homes or employees of a Licensed or Registered child care homes. Associate members may serve as a chair or on a committee. They are not entitled to hold office. They shall be entitled to one (1) vote. If the home has more than one (1) employee, only (1) one person may vote.
♥ HONORARY MEMBERS – persons whom the association wishes to recognize. Honorary members shall be entitled to all privileges of associate members.
♥ LIFETIME MEMBERS – are exclusive to all past presidents in good standing and will have the same benefits as active or associate members, depending upon each individual case.
♥ CHARTER MEMBERS – are members who joined in 1989.
♥ ACTIVE CHARTER MEMBER – a member who has paid membership annually since 1989 to date.
♥ CORPORATE MEMBERS – Corporate members are corporations that provide services that would enhance both the child care business and the provider. These are based only on Store Front capacity. To apply for a corporate membership to TPHCCA, applicant needs to provide a current tax permit.
♥ AGENCY MEMBERS – Agency members are either government agencies or Non-Profit 501 C 3.
♥ SMALL IN-HOME BUSINESS MEMBERS – Small in-home business members are small in-home businesses that provide services that would enhance either the child care business or the provider. These Small-Home Business Members shall fall under a similar category as of Tupperware Dealers, Independent Avon Representatives, Discovery Toy Distributors, or Mary Kay Consultants, etc.
♥ CHILD ADVOCACY MEMBER – Person or group interested in the welfare of all children in Child Care, such as Directors,/employees of Licensed Child Care Centers, Church Nurseries, Private Company Child Care
Facilities and advocates for children. They are not eligible to vote or hold an office.
