Love and Lollipops had many nominations this month here are a few snippets...
Linda took my child into her care after I had a bad run in with another home child care provider. The very Monday we started at Love and Lollipops and I have never been so happy. Mrs. Ronck is very loving and caring for the children, it is truly amazing to see how much my daughter has learned and the songs she sings when just playing by herself at home. I stand in the doorway and just listen. Mark has been there for the children and has known Kailey from the prior day care that she was at (he was the computer guy) Mark takes time and spends quality time with each and every child at the school. Mark and Linda are make a fabulous team. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a safe, warm, and loving environment that is full of learning.
Mark and Linda Ronck are the husband and wife team of the in home child care Love and Lollipops in Plano, TX. Recently Linda had to undergo an unplanned surgery. During this time they chose to keep their business open in order to provide what was best for all of the children they care for. A member of their church volunteered to come in and work with Mark while Linda recovered from her surgery. Mark took on the role of 2 people for the 2 weeks Linda recovered. Linda returned in the 3rd week still recovering, but ready to be back teaching and caring for our future. They both worked extremely hard to make sure that the children they care for received the same love and nurturing they needed during this time. They went above and beyond to make sure the children were cared for first and foremost. I could not find another couple to provide a more loving, nurturing, and safe environment for my child!
Linda demonstrates a true love for her kids and for her profession. Her daycare center is always colorful, inviting, clean, and redecorated with the changing seasons. She prepares healthy, colorful and tasty meals and a structured rest time afterward. The daily activities are varied and individualized giving each child something special to bring home for the day.
Linda has dedicated her adult life the past several years to providing excellent day care for her children. She offers creative learning experiences in a safe, colorful, love-filled environment. She often hosts special enriching events during the year for example, a visit from Santa Claus. Linda is continually attending workshops annually to enrich her learning as a day care provider. Recently during re-cooperation from surgery, Mark, Linda's husband continued his work as her assistant in providing quality care of the children along with the help of another worker.
Mark and Linda Ronck own and operate L&L. Mid January 08, Linda had to have major surgery that would require significant recovery time. Linda hired an additional worker to assist Mark and they did a fabulous job in Linda's absence. They only closed for 1 day, the day of the surgery. Mark took over with the helper every other day since. He ran the daycare, the house (they have 2 teenagers) and took care of his wife in recovery. I think he did a tremendous job. My child is always in wonderful hands with the Ronck's. I am extremely thankful for the awesome job they do with my child, not only in this trying time but always. My daughter has been in their care daily since she was 2 months old- March of 07 and I am truly blessed to have them as my parenting partners.
They are very, very good with my son Justin & they have taken great care of him & the other children in their care. Also my son has learned so much from them. He's talking more & playing with other kids & making friends & learning colors, shapes, numbers, etc. Justin just loves Mark so much that he keeps asking for him every day & also Ms. Linda. He has such a great time with them & I feel comfortable & happy that my child is there learning & growing into a responsible, respectful little boy.
While his wife is the usual full-time, do everything provider, and Mark is her assistant, he has stepped into this new leadership role and assumed responsibility beautifully.
